Noisem, Full of Hell and More: Brews and Brutality in the Most Boring State

The first band I got to see was Sleep Disorder, a crazed power violence act from Baltimore. Perhaps the most notable aspect of this band is that not only do they feature Tyler Carnes of Noisem and his brother Billy, but they also use three vocalists. Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse Featuring Grim Reaper, Riot V, Picture, many more
I think I fell in love with Reggies Rock Club one year ago, May 2013. Show Review – The Mahones – The Night When Everyone is Irish
Put simply, ‘The Mahones’ are a Canadian institution. They play dynamic punk-rock laden with Irish counterparts and a little old school classical Celtic drizzled on top. So, it is no coincidence that ‘The Mahones’ were formed on a St. Patrick’s Day over 20 years ago. Not only is it a day that every Irish person should celebrate, but it is an event that calls for a double commemoration when ‘The Mahones’ are involved. READ FULL ARTICLE and see PHOTOS HERE
“Show Review – The Strumbellas Break New Ground”
The Strumbellas exude a certain character. They are clearly very comfortable on stage now and yet they still remain quite aloof and playful. When the entire band starts singing in unison,….. READ FULL REVIEW

“5 Days of Dynamic Bliss”
“What do you get when you mix, fashion, film, rooftop concerts, sunsets, and tons of talent? You get Pop Montreal. Heavy – Diverse, and Winning!
“Heavy MTL, and metal in general, maybe at a crossroads, but that didn’t seem to dampen the spirits of the forty thousand metal-heads that descended onto Parc Jean Drapeau for the 6th edition of the festival this past weekend. With a lineup that incorporated the old-guard of metal with a plethora of young, metal-core bands, there was definitely a line drawn into the sand, which luckily never evolved into a full-blown battle. Heavy MTL was perfectly balanced with incredible headliners who are loved by almost any metal lover. Just coming back from Mayhem Festival I had crossed off the headliners for the review, which in the end I was very happy about. Many of the “openers” were my highlights either way. Tons of great talent, well known to bands that are waiting to be discovered.” Photos and Story by Lana Nimmons

Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival – “Metal, Mist Mayhem”
This year’s The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival lineup included Rob Zombie, Amon Amarth, Thrown Into Exile, Battlecross, Job for a Cowboy, Butcher Babies and more. Despite Toronto’s rolling blackouts, and floods of the days leading up to the festival, the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival at the Molson Amphitheatre went off without a hitch. To be perfectly honest, on the way to Toronto I was a little OCD, checking updates, to make sure it was still going down. I was more than impressed by their organization and the impeccable lineup that featured some of the top metal bands in the industry. It was the perfect day for any diehard metalhead, nothing but a few raindrops when there was a huge thunderstorm warning. A big plus- it featured some of metal’s most prominent and promising bands, I had in fact became a fan of a few new bands in the scene. With incredible intensity, and 10 whole straight hours of metal, you just couldn’t go wrong! READ FULL ARTICLE AND SEE THE AMAZING PHOTOS FROM THE EVENT
Beach, Sun and Music at Keloha 2013
It was a beach’n weekend here in Kelowna as people united to party at Keloha. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the beautiful Okanagan Valley, Kelowna is a little paradise filled with hot spots and sun and most importantly, the beaches. I call it a Mini LA without the smog. The valley has a ton to offer such as wine, local breweries, fruit, sun and music. Yes music we are a hot spot to stop for bands on tours, from Kiss to The Trews. Wet Ape Productions is one that helps brings these artists to town.
