A true heavy metal legend, Zakk Wylde has always been able to give a good interview and is always interesting to talk too. Always willing to share what’s going through his mind, Zakk Wylde blew me away with his humor and kindness, truly bringing heavy metal to people of all generations.

Sabaton is quite possible the next biggest thing on the global metal stage. They’ve opened for Iron Maiden, toured relentlessly over the last 7 or 8 years and are one of the most prominent bands on the Nuclear Blast roster. Vandala caught up with the band for an interview on October 4th before they played their second gig ever in Calgary, Alberta.

The band kicked off the Hang tour in California this past week with label mates and fellow elder statesmen of the punk scene Swingin’ Utters.
