Following the drop of his single “Vanity”, Utkarsh Ambudkar releases his animated music video for “Rufio”. The track is an epic collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Dante Basco (yes, Rufio from Hook!), and The Olympicks, and the video is directed by Tayen Kim. “Rufio” shines a light on being an outcast, race, the first generation immigrant experience, politics, Hollywood and more with his raw and melodic hip-hop sound.

Utkarsh helped Lin-Manuel Miranda develop the role of Aaron Burr during the readings for Hamilton and the two worked together in a the hip-hop group Freestyle Love Supreme which won critic support and opportunities to travel and be featured in international comedy festivals.

Utkarsh Ambudkar’s love for hip-hop grew when he was part of the group The Beatards. They performed alongside Santigold, G-Eazy, Questlove and many more. His musical ability landed him a role in Pitch Perfect.

Keep an eye out for Utkarsh Ambudkar, 2019 is a busy year. He is currently shooting for the 2019 live-action Disney film Mulan. And most importantly, his is full album Vanity is set to be released on January 18, 2019.
