Returning for its sophomore year, Western Canada’s largest hip hop music festival, One Love, announced today that Big Sean and Lil’ Wayne will headline the 2016 event. Presented by Live Nation Canada and Two Towers, the highly anticipated all-ages festival takes place on September 10 and 11 at Elliston Park across two stages, including The One Up stage for emerging talent. The full lineup and festival details are listed below.
“It’s very exciting to once again bring the hottest names in hip hop to the area,” commented festival producer Harvey Cohen of Live Nation Canada. “The success of last year’s event and the strength of this years’ lineup proves that One Love will be around for many summers to come.”
2016 sees the festival move to its new location at Elliston Park, as well as the addition of The One Up stage. The newly added stage will showcase emerging Canadian artists from all areas of hip hop, from emceeing to turntablism to dance to art.
More than 9000 music fans attended last year’s event, which featured performances by J Cole, Nas, Machine Gun Kelly and more, making it the largest festival in Western Canada dedicated to hip hop music.
