Irish DJ-Producer, Mark McCabe is back with another elevating hit in the form of ‘enlightened’, out Friday, 24th January via Universal Music Ireland. The track showcases an illuminating vocal, melody and an aspirational narrative.
McCabe tells us: “The narrative of the song is about a realization, of being stuck in a rut and wanting to find a new place or new people that can break old habits. It’s about leaving the past behind and becoming comfortable with yourself. It’s for anyone who feels they need a change in their life – for anyone who feels the need to get away from a situation.”
‘Enlightened’ comes off the back of the seasonal stunner, ‘Winter Song’ featuring LA vocalist Cadence XYZ that McCabe delivered just in time for Christmas, breaking Top5 on iTunes while also claiming the No.1 spot on the iTunes Dance Chart. Prior to this came ‘Don’t Let Me Go’, a collaboration with Irish-Scottish duo, SIIGHTS. The track was well received breaking Top 40 on Irish radio and getting a stamp of approval from Sir Elton John, who included the hit as part of his Beats1 Radio Show. ‘Over Me’ was released in April 2018 and featured Dublin singers Aimée and Ovie. The track cracked Top30 Irish airplay, peaked at #18 on Shazam, #4 on Spotify and has an impressive 1 million combined streams.
McCabe has over 200 million streams on Spotify and never fails to produce a calibre of music that continues to hail him as Ireland’s finest DJ-Producer.
