Green Buzzard today releases a new track ‘Nothing’s Happening Here’, lifted from his upcoming debut album ‘Amidst The Clutter & Mess’ out 8th November via I OH YOU.
A contemplative lullaby, ‘Nothing’s Happening Here’ is a pensive track that projects peaceful resignation. From the meditative, rhythmic guitar to the soft, droning vocals, the song is a mantra – “Nothing’s happening here, anyway” – that plays to the feeling of time and people moving around you while you stay stationary. ‘Nothing’s Happening Here’ is an honest reflection of a sombre headspace that is both all consuming, yet temporary.
Lifted off Amidst The Clutter & Mess (out Friday 8 November) – a philosophical collection of songs that look towards the future with openness – the album is an acknowledgment that this feeling too shall pass, while ‘Nothing’s Happening Here’ is an admission that sometimes we all need to wallow and that’s exactly what the song serves to do.
