Since the critical acclaim success of their debut EP “Hard Road“, reggae and music lovers have been clamoring and anxiously waiting to satisfy their soul with new music from EarthKry.
Priding themselves in building their brand the organic way, Legacy Music is the quartet’s pursuit as they trod on the footsteps of those who have inspired and nurtured their musical formation. From Bob Marley and The Wailers to Peter Tosh, Jacob Miller, Black Uhuru and Steel Pulse, EarthKry’s mission to voice the grievances of the downtrodden through the vibrations of their music.
Keyboard player Phillip Mcfarlane , drummer Kieron Cunningham, bass guitarist Kamardo Blake and vocalist/guitarist Aldayne Haughton have pen to paper, and delivered “Philosophy”, the lead single from their upcoming album. Produced by EarthKry, the melodious reasoning sings of fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence. “Philosophy song is basically about controlling your own destiny with the seeds you plant now. All that a man wants in life is down to the philosophy he applies to himself through the different stages of life. If our people can be more aware of the importance of life philosophies and how it can shape our future, then I think better days are ahead. However, when we speak of philosophy we speak of the positive ones. The ones of discipline, righteousness and positivity. So will you build your house on the sinking sand like the foolish man? So what perspective do you build dreams to reality? Cause for every action is a equal reaction. Children, know philosophy!” explained EarthKry’s Phillip McFarlane.
While “Philosophy” the single is available on all major digital stores (smarturl.it/EarthKryPhilosophy), the band released unpretentious visuals giving viewers a taste of what we can except as EarthKry gears up to announce their summer 2017 tour dates.
