Toronto pop-punk band Seaway has announced they’ll be releasing their sophomore album, Colour Blind, on October 23rd via New Damage Records in Canada. In concurrence with the announcement, the band has launched a pre-order for the record and debuted a lyric video for a new song called “Freak” today at http://smarturl.it/SeawayColour

“While recording Colour Blind, we as a band agreed that “Freak” should be the first song released to the masses,” says vocalist Ryan Locke. “It embodies the fun, playful feel that we were going for when writing and recording the album. “Freak” is about being an outcast and a weirdo, but being completely okay with it. The video accompanying the song is archived footage that our friend Miguel Barbosa of YEAH! Films fame shot during our high school years. Back then we would run a muck of parties that we snuck into because we were too weird to be invited to. Outcasts of the world, don’t be afraid to let your freak flag fly.”

Deemed one of Alternative Press’ “100 Bands You Need To Know” in an issue out earlier this year, Seaway has emerged in recent years as one of Toronto’s significant pop-punk bands to come along in years. The band’s upcoming effort follows their 2013 full-length record Hoser and their 2014 New Damage Records debut All In My Head EP.

Seaway will join Knuckle Puck, Sorority Noise and Head North on tour this fall in support of Colour Blind. The North American tour will kick off with a Canadian stop in Toronto on October 14 at Hard Luck Bar. See below for complete details.
