Kathryn is also pleased to announce that she will be heading on tour this spring in support of her latest record. The tour will kick off with hometown shows in Victoria (April 16) and Vancouver (April 18) and will wrap up in Los Angeles onMay 1. Before hitting the road this spring, Kathryn will be heading to SXSW next week with The New Pornographers for the Interactive portion of the festival. Kathryn will also be joining the Cave Singers on their west coast Canadian dates this March. For all recently announced tour information, see below.
Kathryn’s latest offering is the follow-up record to her critically praised and Polaris-recognized sophomore album Bright and Vivid. A cross between the classical and pop world, the album ranges from the get up and move of “Take a Little Time” and “My Armour” to the delicate search for strength within uncertainty via “Song in Cm” and “Arm in Arm”. Throughout, Kathryn has created a deeply personal and introspective world that she entices the listener to explore with her gorgeous expressive vocals, brilliantly crafted melodies and her “ingrained proficiency” for songwriting.
