The Wilderness of Manitoba will take their acclaimed new album Between Colours, on a seventeen date national tour this winter supporting Elliott Brood commencing January 22. Between Colours is the Toronto band’s fourth studio album and the follow up to the JUNO Award nominated Island Of Echoes. The band will be playing right across Canada – Tour Dates below.

Between Colours showcases an explosion of strength with Will Whitwham and vocalist, guitarist, and violinist Amanda Balsys sharing lead vocals, and bassist Wes McClintock leading a more rhythmic bottom end. Recorded at Revolution Recording in Toronto with producer Joe Dunphy, the album fully embraces all the studio has to offer. To address the wider range of dynamics in the songs, drummers Tom Bona, Marito Marques, and Howie Beck were brought into the sessions. Other guests included Michael Phillip Wojewoda (Rheostatics) on theremin and Alex Lifeson (Rush) with a signature guitar solo. The expanding instrumentation and layered guitar and synth effects combine to create one-listen pop hooks and adventurous sonic exploration.

From the band’s inception each album has redefined their sound, from the four part harmonies of Hymns of Love and Spirits through to the cinematic arrangements of the JUNO Award nominated Island of Echoes. In its five year existence, the band’s ongoing transitions come as a direct result of the wealth of traveling the band has done, playing several festivals and touring in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, the USA and Canada.
