Dine Alone Records is excited to announce the addition of Leeds UK-based EAGULLS to their Canadian roster.  The raucous quintet will release their self-titled LP digitally on June 3, with both vinyl and CD versions to follow shortly after.Since forming in 2009, Eagulls have become synonymous with a discontented, disillusioned kind of anger, molded into bullets of post punk that’s rife with urgency and aggression. Formed by Mark Goldsworthy and drummer Henry Ruddel, the lineup completed by Liam Matthews on guitar, Tom Kelly on bass and George Mitchell on vocals, caused a splash with their debut single, the fuzzy, densely sprawling epic “Council Flat Blues” , written only a week after their first rehearsal together.

Brash and opinionated, it’s frustration and sardonicism that seems to fuel Eagulls and light a match under their first LP.  Influenced by post-punk and shoegaze (primarily the sonic assaults of My Bloody Valentine) combined with their own background in hardcore bands, it follows their first trip to America earlier this year for SXSW, a trip the band sacked in their jobs to take, and the catalyst for signing to US indie label Partisan. After building up a cult of ardent admirers via frenetic word-of-mouth shows, a sold out EP release overseas and a memorable appearance at SXSW ‘12, Eagulls bring their unique brand of mayhem to venues across North America including pit stops in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto for NXNE.  See full tour details below.
