It’s nice to feel like all the slogging it out is actually getting one somewhere. Filthy Haanz will definitely let you know when that happens for them. In the meantime… Filthy Haanz continues to be all ground and pound (and party). Their debut self-titled EP released on Club Roll Music is now available on iTunes and they are proudly releasing the long-awaited video for their dubious anthem, Magic Octopussy. Directed by Alexandre “Mad Dog” Sabourin and edited by FX wizard Olivier Binette, the video took over two months in the making and is a VHS inspired trip-out into urban wasteland, in search of the elusive greener grass found on the other side. See the video here:

Filthy Haanz continues to make new music and new friends. A chance meeting with filmmaker Antoine Bordeleau at a video shoot for label-mate Karneef evolved into a series of live videos filmed and recorded live in one day at the band’s illustrious rehearsal space. Filmed by Antoine Bordeleau, recorded and mixed by JB Pinard – the audio generously mastered by Di Condax – the first of three vignettes features Filthy Haanz road testing one of their new and yet to be recorded songs, Closer to the Sun. Watch that video here:
Jean-Nicolas Doss (guitar/vocals), Charlie Rioux (bass/guitar/synth/vocals) and Julien Corrado (drums/percussion) create music from modest beginnings. Urgent and dark at times, tripped out and forgiving at others, the band’s debut self-titled EP draws influence from the best of British pop and prog, as well as from more laidback yet darker inspirations rooted in blues, electro-fonque and reggae.
