Even though I have arrived at the venue a couple of hours in advance, a massive lineup, the likes I have not seen in a long time, has already been formed. Somehow, on the spot, I found it very surprising to see this many people show up, not only on a Monday, but for acts like Anathema and Alcest. Indeed, while Anathema has cult status and a massive following in Europe, it is considerably lesser known in North America, touring only a handful of times as a full band. Their last tour dates as far back as 2001, when they performed at the Milwaukee Metal Fest. This is Alcest’s most extensive and Mamiffer’s first North American tour as well.
