Julian Lamadrid Releases Brand New Project “MALA NOCHE”

New York-based artist, Julian Lamadrid, reveals his new project, Mala Noche, composed and produced by Lamadrid in Brooklyn. Featured on Mala Noche is the lead single, Moment along with an accompanying music video directed by Lamadrid. Mala Noche is the first installment showcasing his unique artistry, influenced by new wave, bedroom pop, hip hop, 80’s synth and British rock.

Born and raised in Dubai to Mexican, Lamadrid has previously released MessNeonDie Young and Red Car off of Mala Noche. The tracks have all garnered tastemaker buzz from Wonderland, CLASH, Flaunt Magazine, VMAN, Billboard and more. 1883 Magazine lauded Julian for “living and breathing art in its many forms.”

With Elvis Presley, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed as his greatest inspirations, the 21-year-old has grown up on a steady diet of music, literature and film. At 18, he moved to New York City, citing films as Taxi Driver and Midnight Cowboy as reasons to enroll in New York University’s film school. Writing and producing along the way, Lamadrid grew frustrated by societal pressure to create data driven and social media-focused art. In turn, he set out to take a risk and record Mala Noche.

Created entirely by Lamadrid, with its visual content self-directed as well, the richness of this project creates an audible pathway towards the future of pop music.
