Minimal Miggy – “Euphoria” feat. Ben Goldstein, Michaela Baranov, Ari Levy

Producer, composer and drummer, Minimal Miggy brings a fresh offering to the scene. In an industry that’s constantly changing, Miggy’s diversity and authenticity make him stand out like a diamond in the rough. Minimal Miggy’s sound traverses and merges the worlds of electronica, hip hop, jazz and various world styles.

Euphoria feat. Michaela Baranov & Ben Goldstein is the latest single from Minimal Miggy having been produced in mid 2017. It expresses those inner conflicts that we all experience when we love someone. Feelings like infatuation, elation, but also vulnerability and self-doubt.

Euphoria is a hip hop/electronic track that also draws on strong pop influences. The track’s lush, infectious top lines, hard hitting drums and overall slickness represent the songs title justly.

Born David Goldberg in Tel Aviv, Israel, he became infatuated by music at a young age. Having spent most of his upbringing in Cape Town, South Africa, he was exposed to a plethora of different genres and afro-esque styles. At age 14, Sydney, Australia would become his new home. After having worked and toured as a professional musician for many years, David felt like it was time to start creating his own journey and message. In the wake of 2017, Minimal Miggy was launched.

The project has so far been an apex of collaborations with close friends and various other featured artists. Whilst on the search for a suited female vocalist, Dan Frizza (studio engineer) recommended Michaela Baranov (Flight Facilities, Peking Duk). Minimal Miggy works to create an archetype that doesn’t force his art into a box and instead allows his collaborators and featured artists to have their own voice.

‘I’ve worked as a drummer professionally for more than ten years and have mostly accompanied other artists. After having to remind myself why I started music, I decided to start creating my own art’.

Miggy’s sound and approach as a producer is eclectic, diverse and he’s just getting warmed up!
