Portland-Based, Alt-metal band, Veio, Streams New Album, ‘Infinite Light / Desperate Shadows’

Melding prog, metal and hard rock, Portland, OR-based, alt-metal band Veio conjures up their own brand of hard rocking tracks. The freshly formed lineup brings a mature, heavy sound, with complex time signature changes, sonic experimentation and vocal anthems that peak during choruses, but never die out. Their latest album, Infinite Light / Desperate Shadows, is out now!

Veio’s latest album, Infinite Light / Desperate Shadows, is the first studio release from the band’s newly formed lineup. Lead single and music video, “Structures,” premiered on Prog Sphere last month, receiving attention from Pure Grain Audio and RMP Magazine, among others. The track unfolds the inner workings of a journey through life, with the end goal of finding a permanent home and coming to terms with a spiritual end. New Noise Magazine premiered second single, “Ghost,” highlighting the band’s genuine lyrical message – check out the piece here. Veio comments, “‘Ghost’ examines one’s inner struggle with self-endangering behaviors perpetuated by addiction. The track explores the difficult transition away from precarious thought patterns perpetuated by habit and routine.” In celebration of the release, the band is currently gearing up for their West Coast dates. The tour kicked off on March 17th with their hometown album release show at Analog Theater.
