Pixies’ bassist Paz Lenchantin has put on her director’s hat for the band’s next music video, this one for the track “Classic Masher” from the new album Head Carrier (pixiesmusic/Play It Again Sam, 9/30/16).

The clip was shot in Los Angeles earlier this month and features Lenchantin’s father Mario Merdirossian as the pianist as well as three friends – Hannah Vandermolen (driver), Adelaide Crocker (middle seat) and Virginia Rand (red lips). Graffiti was created by Jules Muck “MuckRock.”

Lenchantin, who has directed a number of short films and videos in the past, said about the “Classic Masher” video, “Mephistopheles, the mocking and sarcastic devil behind every classic masher…Besides that, who doesn’t like a talking piano?”
