Mixed by Erik Madrid (Mike Posner, Jesse McCartney, Carly Rae Jepsen, Nick Jonas),  Nick’s brand new single Thinking Bout You is a throwback, showcasing an electronic combination of modern electronica with 2000’s R&B; the result a fusion of old and new. In collaboration with producer and brother Joseph (ZUZU) de la Hoyde, Thinking Bout You features a punchy vocal, backed by a multi-layered array of bass and synth. The song brims with R&B and electronica touches while Nick’s lyrics hinge delicately between frustration and certainty, creating a track with lasting emotional impact.

The official video for Nick de la Hoyde’s ‘Thinking Bout You’, directed by ARIA nominated Marc Furmie, is an artistic commentary on modern sexuality, exploring the constant imposition of sensuality and eroticism as a result of social media. The low key visuals waver between Nick’s emoting vocal performance and the feminine form, exploring themes such as identity and isolation.’

This Sydney, Australia based singer/songwriter/rapper Nick de la Hoyde has been expressing himself through music since he was 16 while pursuing a professional, football career in Barcelona and searching for a new, creative outlet. The result of this exploration was a unique and deeply personal insight into youth, dreams and determination. Growing up in a multi-cultural home with a Syrian mother and British father, Nick was exposed to many global influences which he weaved into his music melding sounds of hip hop, rock, alternative, R&B and spoken word, together with introspective lyrics that read like personal journal entries.  Nick and his long-time producers and collaborators, brothers Joseph (ZUZU) de la Hoyde and John de la Hoyde, have crafted a sound that is simultaneously intimate, expansive and engaging.  Now at 22, Nick has penned confessional, real life anthems such Never Gonna Beg For It, Changing and By My Side that take you on a free-spirited, hypnotic and sometimes soulfully moody sonic journey.  Nick has quickly made a name for himself in the social media space cultivating a large and dedicated on-line following, becoming a powerful voice for youth empowerment and positivity.
