London-based sister act Bloom Twins, have unveiled the artistic video for their new single ‘Amnesia’.
Shot in black and white, the video sees the girls performing in a variety of striking outfits, delicately immersing themselves in abstract body paint as it runs across their bodies. Interspersed with reverse and slow motion shots, it’s a video that both captivates the eye and captures the imagination.
The track, to be taken from their forthcoming debut album due out later this year, is a perfect example of the girls’ “dark pop”, and serves up haunting dual vocals set against an electro backbone.
The track was produced by one of London’s best-kept secrets, the UK’s Anthony Marshall who has worked with some of the biggest and brightest stars shaping today’s musical landscape such as Craig David, K-Ci and JoJo, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Simply Red, Pet Shop Boys, to name a few. Additionally, Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes has recorded and produced the majority of their forthcoming debut album.
The sound that has emerged is an intoxicating mix, shaped by their unusual background and perspective, crossing over several genres of music. They fuse stylish electronica with haunting melodies, delivered in their distinctive vocal style, and embellished with the sound of the flute, harmonica and piano, creating truly modern results.
Ahead of that album release, “Amnesia,” shows that Bloom Twins have fulfilled their early promise and are set to be one of the most exciting new artists on the pop scene.
