Coleman Hell has debuted the highly anticipated follow-up single to his widely acclaimed hit “2 Heads”. “Fireproof” will appear on his forthcoming debut album via 604 Records (Canada) and Columbia Records (Worldwide). The genre-mingling singer, songwriter, and producer has developed a unique style, fusing organic instrumentation with electronically based music. Sometimes described as “Folk-Electronica” or “Campfire House”, Hell’s songs tend to defy traditional genres and his newest single, “Fireproof”, is no exception.
When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Coleman says, “I was looking through family photos and I came across this image of my parents that immediately resonated with me. That one photo perfectly encapsulates the idea behind “Fireproof.” My parents have been together since high school and have such an old-fashioned relationship. No matter what obstacles came their way, they worked through it because they have this unwavering belief in love, and almost childlike faith in each other which is so beautiful to me. I think growing up around them is what’s made me such a hopeless romantic. I got to witness it first hand so I know it exists. If you love someone enough it really can make you fireproof.”
On the heels of a massive Canadain tour with Twenty One Pilots, and a successful US run with Robert Delong, Coleman has announced several new tour dates including popular Canadian Festivals Ottawa Bluesfest, Pemberton Music Festival, WayHome, Osheaga, and Rifflandia, with more dates yet to be announced. Next month, he will be in Toronto for Canadian Music Week and participating in iHeartRADIO Fest and the Canadian Radio Music Awards.
