Peoples Palace burst onto the Aussie Indie scene after taking out the Triple J Unearthed competition and performing at the One Night Stand held in their home town of Dubbo with acts such as Flume, The Rubens, Ball Park Musicand Seth Sentry in front of a crowd of 18,000 people.
This success has allowed the boys to support Aussie music legends such asBritish India, The Choirboys, High-Tails & Eskimo Joe. The boys also headed over to New York in October 2015 among 49 other Aussie acts such as British India, The Jungle Giants & Kingswood to showcase at the CMJ Music Marathon.
“Runaways”, the latest single from the boys, was recorded at Jungle Studios in Sydney and produced by Nathan Sheehy, who has recorded the likes ofBlueJuice, The Vanns, Little May and Tropical Zombie.
“When we wrote the track, we wanted fans to enjoy listening to it us much as we enjoyed playing it. Having that funk style intro really drew us into the track and with the production of Nathan Sheehy we couldn’t be happier with how it’s all turned out.”
“Runaways”, has a similar feel to the best of bands such as Fall Out Boy andKings of Leon. “While I was writing lyrics for the track I wanted it to have the punch it has but also have a bit of a deeper meaning,” says frontman Taylor. “The lyrics are really aimed at our generation, you hear so often people throwing criticism at us. We may not have all the answers but we will definitely give it our all.”
“Runaways” by PEOPLES PALACE will be released 26th of February 2016. www.facebook.com/peoplespalaceband
