PLASTIQUE Return With Electro-Rock Single ‘Lips’

Plastique‘Lips’ sees front woman Anelise Kunz maximising her vocal flair further than Plastique’s previous releases: Garbage-infused lows, soaring highs and attitude-brimming screeches flirt with visceral and heady layers.

Anelise’s vocal take took place over a demo with which Plastique were experimenting during the ‘Quake’ recording. Trying new ideas for a heavier dance-punk oriented direction with ‘Quake’, the trio decided to pursue this sound further following its reception. The vocals for ‘Lips’ were revisited, and both Fabio’s guitars and Gabriel’s production on the song became heavier than anticipated to match Anelise’s level of aggression on the take.

The incredibly satisfying result cries to be performed live – Plastique will be debuting ‘Lips’ at a one-off London show, at The Islington on 14 November.
