Reuben And The Dark has carried incredible momentum into 2015 on the strength of current single “Bow And Arrow” and extensive touring throughout North America. Following the Alternative and CBC radio success of dark folk anthem “Rolling Stone” and the uplifting gospel of “Devil’s Time”, “Bow And Arrow” ignited new discovery of Reuben And The Dark via Shazam through an extensive Travel Alberta TV, cinema, and in-flight promotional campaign. Reuben And The Dark’s charming live performances earned the band supporting tours with Boy & Bear and The Paper Kites, as well as appearances at Austin City LimitsOsheagaWinnipeg Folk Festival, and Saskatchewan Jazz Festival with St. Vincent. The band continues to tour extensively this summer, including appearances at Ottawa Jazz and Calgary Folk festivals, following rapturous shows with Counting Crows in Eastern Canada earlier this month. All tour dates are listed below and can also be found HERE.

Produced by Florence and the Machine drummer Christopher Lloyd Hayden and Stephen Kozmeniuk (MadonnaNicki Minaj) and mixed by Jim Abbiss (AdeleArctic Monkeys), Funeral Sky draws heavily from frontman Reuben Bullock’s childhood as the son of a traveling preacher, a life he rebelled against, spurning the spiritual world for a wilder one that he now considers himself lucky to have survived. Those trials fuelled notebooks full of poems and lyrics that spawned the incredibly personal and acclaimed Funeral Sky, highlighted by songs like the anthemic “Rolling Stone” and the elegiac “Bow & Arrow”. The Funeral Sky Deluxe expanded edition showcases Reuben And The Dark’s penchant for dynamics, ranging from stark lo-fi dirges to rich atmospherics. Previously unreleased tracks like “Winter’s Widow” and “Red River” crystallize Reuben’s accomplished songwriting, while alternate versions of Funeral Sky tracks illustrate his adventurous sonic spirit.
