American folk troubadour Chuck Ragan is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated fourth studio album Till Midnight, due out on March 25, 2014 through SideOneDummy/Dine Alone Records in Canada. In anticipation of his new album, Chuck Ragan has just announced the release of a limited edition 7-inch. The record, which drops February 25, 2014 worldwide, features two versions of his recently released single “Non Typical” – album version (Side A) and alternate version (Side B).
In addition, Ragan will be introducing a rebirth of his all-star backing band The Camaraderie through the first installment of his Live From SideOneDummy Sessions, which were filmed at SideOneDummy Records office in Hollywood, CA during November 2013. The Camaraderie consists of Jon Gaunt (fiddle), Joe Ginsberg (bass), Todd Beene of Lucero and Glossary (pedal steel, electric guitar), David Hidalgo Jr. of Social Distortion (drums), and Rami Jaffee of The Wallflowers and Foo Fighters (accordion, glockenspiel, organ). Watch their performance here:
Till Midnight was produced, engineered, and mixed by multi-instrumentalist Christopher Thorn of Blind Melon behind the walls of Fireside Sound and Fonogenic Studios in Los Angeles. From the playful and captivating fiddle and drums on the upbeat lead off track “Something May Catch Fire”, to the steel guitar and harmonica laden “Bedroll Lullaby”, to the heartwarming “Wake With You”, to the mesmerizing solo acoustic ballad “For All We Care” – this album propels Ragan to a whole new level musically. Guest vocalists include Lucero frontman Ben Nichols, Jenny O., Dave Hause, and Chad Price and Jon Snodgrass of Drag The River.
A national headline tour is in the pipeline and dates including support will be announced shortly.
