On Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Canadian Music Week, the acclaimed musician – best recognized as the man who writes, records and performs under the moniker of City and Colour – will take the spotlight in a special in-depth conversation with Matt Wells, host of M3 COUNTDOWN on the newly rebranded M3. Green’s appearance coincides with a headlining performance at the Air Canada Centre on Friday, May 9, 2014, part of a national tour seeing Green perform the largest indoor venues he has ever headlined in Canada.
Dallas Green began recording as City and Colour in 2005 with the release of Sometimes, followed by 2008’s Bring Me Your Love and 2011’s Little Hell which also debuted at #1. All three releases went on to achieve platinum status in Canada, with Little Hell selling Gold in Australia as well. The success of Little Hell set the stage for a string of sold out shows throughout 2011 and 2012 – including the famed Royal Albert Hall in the UK.
Green’s latest and most anticipated fourth studio album The Hurry and The Harm debuted at #1 on the Top 200 SoundScan Chart in Canada this past June, marking City and Colour’s best debut in Canada to date, outselling its forerunner Little Hell. International success has quickly followed suit, with the album debuting at a career high #16 in the US, #4 in Australia, #32 in the UK and #83 in Germany.
