Toronto-bred, Nashville-based country songstress Lindi Ortega has been touring from city to city across North America this fall, road-testing the new songs from her third offering, Tin Star. With the new release under her belt, she is excited to share the video for the album’s first single, and title track. The video, directed by Michael Maxx is (Hollerado, Matt Mays, City and Colour) and featuring a cameo from fellow Canadian, Matt Mays, premiered this past Saturday on CMT. Watch it here.

Tin Star, the latest album from the critically lauded singer-songwriter, was released October 8th by Last Gang Records. The new record follows her 2011 Juno Award-nominated and Polaris Music Prize Long-Listed debut album Little Red Boots, and her 2012 Polaris Long-Listed album Cigarettes & Truckstops. “I feel this video captures the rawness and reality of a juxtaposing existence for a struggling musician in the city if Nashville; a relentless walking of the line between the glitter and the grit,” Lindi commented.
