With a long list of success rapper Madchild still has had his struggles. He opens up to us about the tough years in his life of being addicted to drugs, and then recovering has been the ultimate healing process. As I ask about Madchild’s impressive accolades, successes of the past and present he goes down the list: 4 Junos, 7 MuchMusic Awards, platinum and gold records with Swollen Members. Brand new solo album, Lawn Mower Man has reached #2 record in Canada overall on iTunes, #1 rap album in Canada, #13 rap album in America, #3 independent record in America, and around #130 on the Billboard Top 200 in America. With his loyal, international fanbase, Battleaxe Warriors along with underground hip hop fans in general, it’s no mystery how he has been able to come back and maintain a strong footing and momentum.

His way of being open and honest about the tough years in his life of being addicted to drugs, and then recovering has been the ultimate healing process. Becoming more focused and driven than ever, he has been the hardest working rapper since his debut solo album Dopesick, and now that he’s allowed back into America, there is no way of slowing down this Superbeast now.
