Teenage Kicks are getting set to bring their current album, Spoils Of Youth, on the road this fall. With stops in Boston, NYC, and Chicago, as well as more dates through eastern USA, the Toronto band is excited to bring their energetic and captivating live show to their North American fans. The new album has been receiving rave reviews since its release in Canada on April 29^th (Resolute Music). Spoils of Youth features 10 tracks including Digging Up Old Bones, Houdini and the new single Curse Words. Check out the fast-paced video for Curse Words.

“We’re really thrilled to be on the road in September with a new record,” says guitarist and lead singer Peter van Helvoort. “There are a lot of great Canadian music cities and festivals on the tour and a lot of new faces we’re excited to play for. If you manage to make it through the new video for “Curse Words” without having a seizure you should come and see it live. If you don’t make it through the video unharmed, please don’t sue.” Playing in bands together was inevitable for brothers Peter and Jeff van Helvoort, as there were few like-minded musicians in the small town where they grew up. As a result, people began to see a lasting connection between the two that has persisted from the first band they formed together 10 years ago, to present day Teenage Kicks, but has never been as apparent as it is on the group’s debut full-length. Spoils of Youth represents the van Helvoorts’ continued aspiration to produce music that is true to themselves and to the music they’ve always loved; songs rife with honesty, integrity, and truth.
