Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, producer Taylor Pierce, aka Zendlo, is a 27-year-old producer who first broke into the industry after seven years of dedicated producing. His first official release, “Heavy Metal,” with The Sunday Club blasted him into the scene as the track charted on Beatport and appeared on Spotify’s “Housewerk” playlist. His latest track, “Restless,” was also released on Psycho Disco’s 3-year anniversary compilation “PSYCH 202.” Today, Zendlo returns to the Atlanta-based Psycho Disco for yet another release this year, this time, a new EP titled ‘B.F.B.’
Described by Zendlo as “two of the weirdest tracks I’ve ever made,” the double track project can be sold as none other than booty house with their tongue-in-cheek lyrics and massive bounce. First up the EP title track “B.F.B,” which stands for Big Fat Booty, Zendlo divulges into a four-minute cut of house music whose emphasis is on the myriad of sound samples Zendlo has applied that leaves the massive single with a sound that falls somewhere between a spaced out video game sound track and peak-hour club weapon. Next up, “I’m Just Like” continues on the wave of weirdo with more of a tech house feel whose potent energy solidifies the single as one of Zendlo’s best productions to date.
If this is your first official intro to Zendlo, you may already be familiar with some of his music thanks to the heavy support he has received from industry heavy weights including Walker & Royce, Treasure Fingers, Codes, Sage Armstrong, LondonBridge, and Stranger.
